During the first week of August, the brand-new Mercury V12 600 hp were successfully installed on Omega 47, making her the first boat outside the U.S. to be propelled by the new Mercury outboards. The twin configuration showcased an outstanding performance, managing to push the 8.000 kg of the Omega 47 and reach 76 mph. Offering a unique and extremely smooth and light weight feeling driving experience, the 600s proved to be a perfect match to Omega 47. As Gerry Petratos, Technohull’s CEO notes, “The new Verados are awesome engines and the most sensible option for boats like the Omega 47.
